Week One In The Gecko Class

Dear Gecko Class Families,   A warm welcome to the K2 Gecko Class community! We hope the children had a relaxing summer break and are ready to see their classmates and teachers in school very soon. I am Ammie, your child's class teacher for this year. I will be supported by my amazing Educational Assistants, Iris and Vicky, and our Chinese Teacher, Yammi Lao Shi. It was a pleasure meeting some of you during the 'You Tell Us Meeting' today. Thank you for your time, and for sharing valuable insights into your children's lives. Welcome to Hillside Chinese Class

Dear parents and caregivers, Welcome to Hillside Chinese class! My name is Yammi Lao Shi and I will be your child’s Chinese teacher this year. I hope you and your children have had a wonderful holiday and a fresh start to the school year and l am looking forward to seeing the children in our Chinese classes.  Our Chinese Day will be on Monday. On Chinese Day, children will be guided to have their learning activities in Chinese, including stories, music and movement, arts and crafts, etc.  We will update the class blog and the Chinese learning slide s regularly and you can find out more about the Chinese programme from these materials and help your children reinforce the language at home with them.  Chinese Class albums (see the links below) are also provided for you to see and upload your children’s Chinese learning progress both in class and at home.  We are going to have Hillside's Chinese Programme Webinar in late September to introduce more details about the Chin...
